Updated: Oct 7
Yes - I am going to stick my fingers into your mouth.
Yes - you have muscles in your mouth and in your face that can get tight and cause a myriad of issues (if you're reading this, relax your scalp. I bet you didn't know you were tensing it).
Yes - it can make a huge difference!!
If you or someone you know has issues with TMJ dysfunction, migraines, chronic headaches, a history of mouth surgeries, neck pain, ear fullness, snoring, eye pains or sinus issues, Intra-Oral massage may be able to help. Keep reading! And send this to them!

We've all heard the phrase "fix your face" - you know, when you instinctually let your emotions show a little too clearly for everyone else to see. Well, since taking an Intra-Oral continuing education course, that phrase takes on a whole new meaning as now, I technically can help you "fix" your face.
There are about 63 muscles combined in our head, neck and face. And we use a lot of them all of the time. Through repeated use, jaw clenching (where are my nighttime mouth guard people at??) strain, poor posture, tightness and stress, these muscles and the surrounding fascia can cause issues in muscle and nerve function.
Intra-Oral massage targets those small inner muscles that may be causing your big problems.
What to expect during an Intra-Oral Massage Appointment:
In the beginning, we will begin by doing a full-body fascial reset. By resetting other areas of your body, we allow your nervous system to begin to relax, release and sink into the session.
Next, you can expect anterior (the front) and posterior (the back) targeted neck massage. We will work on loosing up tight and stuck fascia as well as working through any trigger points in your neck that may be contributing to your symptoms.
Then, we will move into a face massage. This will start to bring blood flow to your face and also loosen up fascial restrictions in the area. You will want to come to the session without any face make up on as we will be cleaning and moisturizing your face for a clean and smooth working surface.
Then, the fun part. We'll begin working inside your mouth to target those tiny but mighty intra-oral muscles. This part may cause some discomfort but should not be painful! We'll be communicating with you throughout the entire session, and you can always put a hand up if something is too tender or you need a break.
We will finish off with some facial cupping and gua sha for lymphatic support and finally some time under the red light to support all of the work we just did.
You may experience some soreness in the following days, but most people get off the table feeling immediately relief and a much more "open" feeling in their face, mouth, neck and even chest.
